Potting on
Once your seeds have grown and developed some leaves, carefully transplant them into a larger container. Always handle them by the leaves so you don't damage the delicate stem.
And here's a tip- try not to use cardboard pots. To try and cut down on plastic, I recently used cardboard pots for my tomato seedlings. As an experiment, I put some in plastic and some in card, not really expecting a difference. But, I'm sad to say that they grow much better in plastic as you can see from the picture.
I think it's because the card retains moisture, so when the temperature drops in the greenhouse the compost cools down more dramatically than with the plastic ones.
